What We Do
Gum Spirits Productions is a full-service media production company delivering first-class execution for clients of all sizes. From concept and scriptwriting, to shooting, editing and duplication, Gum Spirits works to achieve a product that you’ll be proud to show as your own. Whether you need a 30-second spot, a promotional video, an interactive web program, or a narrative or documentary movie, our award-winning, flexible and professional team will help to make your concept a reality.
Based in Portland, Maine, our team has expanded from its indie film production roots to produce work for brands, businesses and political organizations across the country. Whether you’re looking to promote your business locally, launch a national ad or announce a candidate online, the Gum Spirits team has the capability and experience to produce the results you need, quickly and consistently. We shoot and deliver in any format, including HD, and we can also provide web and graphic design, original musical scoring, duplication and delivery, and media buying.
And... no more paying by the hour. We’ve always believed that a project should be edited and fine-tuned until it’s exactly right. That’s why the price we quote is the price you pay: we work on a project until you’re satisfied, and never charge for revisions. Peace of mind that allows you to focus on getting the project right is our priority. With this approach, we’ve delivered for our clients, time and time again.

“I know what makes great ads, and these guys make great ads! Gum Spirits offers the ultimate return on investment, and I’d recommend them to anyone who doesn’t want to play the game of overpaying for a subpar product from a big firm. The quality of product is superb – as good, or better, than any ad company out there, at a fraction of the cost. Plus, they’re young, tuned in, and acutely aware of what works and doesn’t work in the ever-saturated world of political advertising.”
– Eric Schmeltzer, Schmeltzer PR
"On a timeline that could not have been any tighter, the Gum Spirits team was calm, professional, and well-prepared to a fault. Their input during the planning process was invaluable and they were able to keep the entire process calm and on track despite myriad and sometimes shifting considerations. The final result exceeded all our highest expectations. We simply could not be happier with their work."
- Alice Kornhauser, Director of Marketing & Communications, Portland Symphony Orchestra
"Gum Spirits is a fantastic production team who are able to help you develop great concepts and deliver amazing videos and commercials in record time. By far the best production company I have ever worked with."
- Abby Pierce, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, The Maine Red Claws
"Working with Gum Spirits Productions was incredible. They masterfully created a top notch piece that conveyed our message beautifully and succinctly. We've worked with other, larger production companies in the past whose work can not compare to what the talented group at GumSpirits created for us.”
- Laura LeBrun, Catch a Piece of Maine
